I like the idea of getting an active 95M registry going again, as the Mazdachat registry apparently never really got off the ground. Some one has to do it, right? If there can be a '91 BRG, '93 LE or '97 M registry, why can't we have the same information for the '95 M? (I will not give out any VIN information to anyone or use it for any illicit purposes.) This is totally informal and will ultimately in no way include all 3500 M's, but wouldn't be neat if we could get as many as possible? If you have one and you're willing to send me the last-6 of your VIN and what state, I'll include it in the list. So far, I've found 18 cars including ours. Really just need the VIN's but thought it would be somewhat interesting to see dispersion throughout the country. Started logging them into a spreadsheet with just the last-6 of the VIN and the last known state for the car. between the time it rolls out of the factory and the time it goes on sale is about 6-8 weeksīecause I've been up late (and maybe because of the couple beers.), I started looking thru BaT and the 'Pricing and Dealer Discussion' forum and looked up any VIN I could find for a 95 M. the actual car takes about an hour to get built, but the vin and options and build sequence are planned out at least 3 months in advance, if not moreĥ. the vin is applied way before the car is actually built.Ĥ. the badges get applied at the end, probably by hand. the 30AE car badges are sort of sequential, but if the vin number would match the badge number, they will put a different badge on it.ģ. the cars do not come out of the factory in numerical order, it is close, but its not exact.Ģ. I have done the 1995 Rx7's (531 cars), and the 30th Anniversary Mx5 (840 cars), and i have learned some things.ġ. It is possible, it would just take about a year. The parts catalog has the information we seek, but unless you hack the thing, you would need to go one car at a time, and since the M edition did not have a different vin sequence, you need to do all of that model year, which is like ~45,000 cars.
